When you combine THC & CBD in a blended form of consumption, like the Doma 1:3 capsules, they cause a very different reaction than just THC alone, or CBD alone. CBD essentially gets in the way of THC’s ability to bind with one of the major ECS receptors, CB1. As a result, the presence of CBD has a significant impact on the psychoactive properties of THC. The more CBD present, the less “stoned” you will feel. The ratio is very important because the best available science makes it clear that whole-plant cannabis products are quantifiably superior to single compounds because the plant’s complex mix of cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids. All of these components interact synergistically to create the “entourage effect” that enhances each other’s therapeutic effects.
Remember, the higher the CBD to THC ratio, the less psychoactive effects you will feel. If the ratio is higher then 4:1 CBD:THC, like Fluent’s Perla, you will not feel any euphoria at all, but you will still get the medical benefits of the entourage effect because of the very small amount of THC present.
