Munchies - some hate them, I love them. At times, Chron's can leave me with no appetite. A meal goes from delectable to daunting, & for someone who loves food, it's a terrible feeling. Yet, thanks to cannabis, gone are the days I have to suffer. A few hits, or an edible & *BOOM* 15 minutes to an hour later I'm actually enjoying lunch instead of having anxiety about it. Why though?
THC & CBD are 2 out of hundreds of cannabinoids present in marijuana. Since they come from the cannabis plant, they are called phytocannabinoids. When you combine THC & CBD in a blended form of consumption, they cause a very different reaction than just THC alone, or CBD alone. CBD essentially gets in the way of THC's ability to bind with one of the major ECS receptors, CB1. As a result, the presence of CBD has a significant impact on the psychoactive properties of THC.
