I chose Islamorada strictly because of the name. My dad was stationed in the Keys in the Navy, my brother was born there, & I grew up going to Key Largo every weekend. The Keys are dear to my heart, so why wouldn't I want to try a heavy indica honoring this beloved place?? Choosing cannabis based on the name of the strain doesn't always go well, but this was a happy exception.
In Florida, medical marijuana first became legal in January 2017. However, it's taken some time for an abundance of dispensaries to open across the state (thanks to the long, drawn-out process growers had to go through in order to open a legal medical dispensary).
